Attention media professionals
Our first priority with this trip is to get the word out about the East Coast Greenway. In that vein, we'd love to get as much attention in the press as possible. Having said that, please understand that we are doing this trip completely unsupported by any significant sponsorship. All of our fundraising efforts are to directly benefit the East Coast Greenway Alliance. Andy makes his living as a journalist and is hoping to generate some income during the trip by selling dispatches and photos from the trail at (extremely) reasonable rates to local newspapers, magazines, etc. If it is against your publication's policies to accept freelance work or you have no budget for such things, no problem. As we said, our first priority is exposure for the project, and we'd be happy to grant interviews to other professionals.
